Black mold has been
one of the more damaging after effects of
Hurricane Katrina, requiring every building
touched by floodwater to have their interiors
removed. We have helped clean up more than 1,000
homes.
Most homes in
Mississippi have already either been cleaned up,
or torn down. However, if you still have
moldy drywall, particle board, furniture, or
other items damaged by floodwater in your home,
we can send a work crew to remove these items
for you. Whether you need your home
completely "gutted out", or if there's just a
portion that needs help, such as the kitchen or
bathroom, we may be able to help. We are also
able to assist with yard clean up.

If you are unable
to afford reconstruction on your home, we may be
able to assist by providing labor or materials.
Skilled volunteers have begun hanging drywall,
roofing, rewiring the electrical work in homes,
rebuilding fences, installing doors, and other
similar efforts. Please talk to one of our case
workers, who will determine how we can best help
you.
Case workers are
available for meetings at the Camp Victor building
located at 1515 Government Street, Ocean Springs.
